Brothers and Sisters,
What comes to mind when someone mentions the "Word of God'? For most of us, our thoughts go directly to the Holy Bible. Now the Bible its self is a means that God uses to communicate to us. But what is the actual Word of God?
What you first need to realize and understand, is that when the Bible speaks of it being the Word of God, this is "who" He is referring to. The Bible is not about a bunch of words in a book, but it is about a person. The Lord our God Himself.
What does God say...
John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Point to ponder...
Everything in our KJV Bible is all about God, His son Jesus, who is an extension of God come to us in the flesh, and the Holy Ghost. And faith and belief in all three is required, in order to obtain salvation through Jesus, giving us eternal life and passage into the kingdom of heaven. All three are one together.
Application part...
Know and understand these facts...
1. The Old Testament and the New Testament work together like perfect book ends. The first half of the book preparing for the arrival of the son of God, His blood line that shows that He is of righteous blood, and the second half of the book is about Jesus purpose here, His life, His teachings, crucifixion, Resurrection and His return for His Church/bride.
2. He came to us humble in stature, clothes, and voice. And He is returning, not the way He first came to us, but as the KING He IS!\
Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
3. . To have faith in the Word is to have complete faith in God, His son Jesus and the Holy Ghost. All of which make up the trinity which make up one Godhead. For you cannot believe in one and not the others. They are all one in the same.
4. . Many people struggle with understanding God and the scriptures because they can't get past the book, the Bible as being an object they can hold in their hands. How do you have or build a personal relationship with a book? You don't. You stop looking at it as just a book and see it as an extension of the Almighty God Himself, because that is what it is.
5 . For many, that is just not that simple. No where in the scriptures does it say that Christianity is simple, but quite the contrary.
Acts 9:16For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
6 . That is why it is vital that we Born Again Christians go through life continually building our relationship with the Lord, through the daily guidance of the scriptures given by God, through divine inspiration to the Holy men, for us to learn what He wants to teach us, and not what man made religion wants us to know through them and only them, which is false doctrine.
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in darnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
7. Through that inspired Word, we can become one with Christ. That is what it means when we are one body together with Christ.
Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
8.Just as the Trinity.... God, His son Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are all of one body. They are of the same Godhead, with God over all three. All the power comes from Him. You cannot have a relationship with God or His son Jesus, or even have the Holy Ghost living inside you without continuously working faith. God can be everywhere at the same time just as He IS all three, God the Father, son and Holy Ghost at the same time. He is sovereign. He reins supreme!
9. So if you find yourself sometimes struggling with studying the Bible, Stop looking at it as if you were given a homework assignment that you are dreading, and look at it for what it truly truly is.... spending time with God.
Let us pray...
Father,
Thank You for the many different ways You choose to lead me in my life. You bring so many different people, and experiences for me to find my way clearer on the path of righteousness that You have blessed me with. Open my eyes, and heart to Your truth. Help me to keep my blinders on so I do not get derailed in my steps, always keeping them in line with Yours. Help me to see that my foot print gets lost inside Yours, when I follow You in my life, showing me that You are truly so much more powerful and grater than I am. And that I can always find comfort and protection in those steps in life that I can never fill with my own. I praise and thank You for You always revealing things to me that You know I need to see which aids me throughout my day. I give You all my praise and all the glory, In Your precious son Jesus name. Amen!
God bless you always
Carol
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
