Brothers and Sisters,
Although we can never compare our life's experiences to that of Job's, we can get from his life the hope that remains when our faith is strong enough to pull us through adversity beyond our own imagination.
I have heard many people say that it is hard for them to keep their faith due to what our world is shifting into with all the uncertainty we now face. But I can assure you that what ever it maybe, none of it can even come close to what Job went through, and was amazingly rewarded for His never weakening faith in God.
What does God say....
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Job 1:21-22 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
Point to ponder....
No matter what satan did to Job, be it take his children from him or his livestock etc, he never blamed or cursed God, but praised and worshiped Him. It was his faith that got him through all of what satan had put him through. He never allowed his faith to die, but continuously put it to work.
No one is saying what Job did was easy, because there is no way it could have been. But we get a clear picture of what faith can do for all of us when we put it to work.
Application part...
1. No matter what is going on in your life. stop and praise God.
2. No matter what your first impulse is to do when you are going through some hard times, stop and know that you are blessed.
3. Remind yourself of all you have been blessed with, and look around you, and praise God for it.
4. If you allow your faith to be weakened or shut down, you allowed satan to win. Don't let him win!
5. And always remember that He who lives inside you is greater than he who lives in the world. So if you are a Born Again christian, it is the Lord who lives inside you, and you know how great He is.
Let us pray...
Father,
On this day I stop and give You praise and glory for life and the strength the daily trials give me and my faith. I thank You for showing me that no matter how hard life can seem at times, that it would be much harder without You. In my humblest of heart, I thank You. In Jesus precious name. Amen!
God bless you always
Carol
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
