Brothers and Sisters,
When we turn to the Lord for answers to our prayer needs, many people get impatient with the time line that God chooses to complete the blessing. We can do one of two things when we lift up our prayer needs to the Lord.
We can thank Him and move forward in your day to day living and not worry about when God plans to answer us, or we can sit idle worrying about something we have absolutely no control over, saying to ourselves "whats taking so long God?"
What does God say...
Psalms 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Point to ponder...
The Lord's will is always perfect and timely. Just because we don't always get what we want when we want it, does not mean that God is not working on it for us, or that He is not working things out for us.
The important thing is that being a Born Again Christian, we are now living under the Grace of God. So lets take a look at the word Grace...
From G1656; to compassionate (by word or deed, specifically by divine grace): - have compassion (pity on), have (obtain, receive, shew) mercy (on).
Grace is God's compassion and mercy upon us. No were does it say that He is obligated to give us any of what we ask Him for. It is only by His mercy and through His grace that we receive our blessings. Our God is a loving, caring, merciful God who is not quick to anger.
He is very patient and forgiving, even when we break His commandments. He knows when our repenting is sincere and heart felt, and that is when we receive His mercy and grace.
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
The above scripture is telling us that through our faith in God and in His will we have access to His grace. Because of what Jesus did for us when He died for our sins and we accepted that payment for our sins on our behalf, we have now hope through Jesus.
Application Part...
1. Know what to do with that powerful tool that you have called faith.
2. Never find yourself believing that your faith is growing weak, because that is a lie being told to you by satan who is a liar.
3. When you turn to the Lord for a blessing in prayer, turn to Him knowing without a doubt that you will receive it in His perfect time, and according to His will and way.
4. We never put a deadline on the Lord's works in our life, for God is greater than we are who serves Him.
John 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
5. Know what the meaning of true faith behind your prayer really is. It is not expecting your prayer to be answered because you feel you deserve it for what ever reason. That would be disrespectful to God. Because none of us being sinners deserves anything from God
6. But praise the Lord always, and await the mercy and grace from God, as the sinner who is not worthy of such blessings. This is humbling yourself before the Lord.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
7. Know that you have hope because you turn your need over to Jesus.
8. And finally, ask yourself when Jesus every let you down? I can assure you that He never has.
Let us pray....
Father,
I am thanking You for hearing my prayer and working things out for me in Your time frame and not mine. You know my needs better than I do, so I am placing all my faith and trust in Your perfect will and time. i thank you for caring for my family and friends, providing for us all in Your very special way. I thank you for the unexpected extras that you bless me with, even when I fall short of Your glory. And I praise and thank You for never giving up on me. I know I am a sinner Father, but I am working daily to improve the things You show me about myself that I need to improve upon. Mold me as You see fit, until You call me home. In Jesus precious name. Amen!
God bless you always
Carol
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
