Brothers and Sisters,
Did you know that even those that are of the strongest of faith, can slide back a little at times, because no matter how hard that person tries to fend off satan, he still slips in from time to time?
Sometime we don't answer that call of the Word from our daily studying because we get too caught up in our daily activities. And without fail, the one person we are to place first in our life, gets shoved back just a little. That person is God. We can't allow this to happen to us as children of God.
Even I get tired and find myself forgetting to study God's Word which is where I get my Daily Breads to share with others. But it is very important that we get back up quickly and get back into the Word of God before we get too comfortable with not doing our daily studies. This can become a danger zone for even the most devout of students of God's Word.
What Does God say....
Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Point to ponder...
How can we become approved of by God if we aren't in His word daily? How can we resist temptation if we aren't turning to God for the strength and the escape route He provides us?
The problem is that when we try to go out on our own in life, the truth is.... we are going to fail at what ever we strive to do. It's that simple. Remember this scripture?
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
God clearly told us in the above scripture that if we strive to go out and do anything on our own, it is an impossible task and we will fail. But when we ask God for His guidance and help, all things can be achieved through Him. The key is "All things possible through Christ!"
Application part...
1. Ask yourself if you feel tired daily? I know I do.
2. That is because even if you aren't' aware of that constant battle that goes on within yourself daily, between doing good and following God or doing wrong and listening to the lies of satan. You don't realize that this battle is on going and will continue as long as you and I are in the flesh.
3. Sometimes I am so tired that I don't take the time to put together Today's Daily Bread. I do them for myself as much as I do them for you.
4. I cheat myself when I fail to put them out as much as I am cheating and failing You.
5. The key to all of our success is us praying for each other every single day.I need your prayers!
6. And when you lift up others, most importantly.... do not forget to lift up yourself as well. Because yous success as a Born Again Christian is only as good as you own personal level faith can carry you.
7. Ask yourself is your faith lessening or increasing? You know the difference, and you know what to do if you are getting weak and find yourself tired in your walk with the Lord.
8. Get on your knees and give it to the Lord. He knows your limits, but sometimes we don't know them ourselves.
Let us pray...
Father,
I need to be steadfast in my studying of Your Word daily. I need to lift myself up as well as others. For I tend to forget about me. I know I am just as important as my friends and family are to You. I realize that am of no help to anyone else if i don't look after me and my needs first, making sure I am right with You, before I can begin to try to lead others with me to You. I praise and thank You for strengthening me, and always leading me to Your truth. In Jesus precious name, Amen!
God bless you always
Carol
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
